Bass River School District

In 2019 the Bass River Board of Education  commissioned Stockton University to conduct a Feasibility Study in order to determine the feasibility of sending students to Little Egg Harbor Schools on a tuition  basis.

Bass River and Little Egg Harbor agreed to a send / receive relationship and all Bass River elementary aged students attend Little Egg Harbor Schools. As a result, Bass River has become a non-operating school district and the Bass River Board of Education remains active.

Bass River Board of Education holds regular meetings. The  next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Township Municipal Building, located at 3 N. Maple Ave., New Gretna. The 2024-2025 school year budget will be presented at this meeting.  Executive Session at 6:30PM. Public Session at 7PM.

An October 2021 Feasibility Study and associated Presentation on regionalizing Pinelands, Bass River, Eagleswood, LEH, and Tuckerton preK – 12 has been produced.
